The Bridge program is a program to help graduated high school seniors make the transition from high school to college. In order for a student to participate in the bridge program they must have maintained decent grades throughout high school and must have an ACT score of at least a 19. Students within the Bridge program are treated just like college students with the benefits of being able to go off campus, having their own cars at the college, and having a television, microwave, and a computer in their dorm rooms. During their summer session, before college, Bridge students take two college courses available during the summer session, helping to give them a head start on their college credit and hours. The Bridge year is a student’s last year in the Upward Bound programs and is a great way for students to receive the transition they need to a college lifestyle.
