Faculty Art Exhibit ongoing in VPAC

“Goober Gothic” by Jack Ousey

Pedagogy 2010” is currently ongoing in the Visual and Performing Arts Center, featuring faculty artists Jack Ousey, Gleny Beach, Donna Adams, Terry Spearman, Audra Helms, Janie Umsted and Doris McGranahan. Many mediums are represented in the show, from steel sculpture to acrylic painting. The gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Norma Howard, a self-taught Choctaw-Chickasaw painter, discussed examples of her artwork with members of the SE community on Nov. 4, as part of the Native American Insights program.

SE’s True Blue Ambassadors entertained high school students visiting for the day by performing their own rendition of Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” as part of SE Live. SE Live is a recruitment event and allows local students to get a feel for the college experience that can be had on campus.
