Residence Life and RHA Alumni

8/22/11

Hey Residence Life Staff & RHA Alum,  (Correct response for RHA ers is “Hey What?”),

I am trying to put together a list of alumni who might be interested in occasionally hearing about what is happening in your old stomping grounds.  I am pretty sure that most of you know that Mike Davis returned to staff as a Residence Hall Director last year.  But, did you know that we decided to group the freshmen halls (Choctaw and North Hall) together and the primarily Upper Class Halls (Chickasaw and Shearer Hall) together this year?  Perhaps not earth shattering news .. How about this, we are trying a new .. “programming model” this year, de-emphasizing traditional programming in favor of something we have borrowed from some other universities called “Mission Centered Conversations”.  We are not really sure how that will pan out this year, but I am excited by the possibilities.  Regardless, we would love to keep you updated, invite you to special events, and generally stay connected with you!  To help us, we need your contact information.  (Now, I know most of you are on face book, and I am sure that there are groups out there that .. well, sort of serve this purpose, but, you also know me…  I am not on face book.  I have no immediate plans to be on face book.  I hope you will bear with my limitations and use, what you might consider to be, the old fashioned, regular email contact.  LOL.)  So, please send me an email and include the following:

  1. Your name
  2. Your email address
  3. Your title when you were associated with this department (RA, Hall Director, RHA Exec officer, etc.)
  4. The years that you were associated with this department
  5. Your graduation year
  6. Anything else you want us to know….  Perhaps a saying you were famous for .. (“not on duty” comes to mind…  )

I  look forward to hearing from you.  I hope you are all achieving wonderful things in your lives!!
