ASSE Student Chapter meets on January 21st with a record 95 students present!!!!

Presenter: Ms. Theresa (Tre’) Smith who is a Division Chief in the Worldwide Ammunition Logistics/Explosives Safety Review Program for the Army, accompanied by Mr. Paul Looney who is an Explosives Safety as a Army Safety and Occupational Health Career Program (CP)12 intern, both from Defense Ammunition Center, McAlester, Oklahoma.

Presentation included an Explosives Safety Overview to the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) student section of Southeastern Oklahoma State University on January 21, 2014. The overview consisted of the history of explosives safety, videos of explosions, general explosives safety, hazard classes, explosives safety management program, electrical explosives safety, resources, followed by a question and answer session.

The presentation hit home with the student body as Mr. Looney is an alumni of Southeastern Oklahoma State University, who graduated in 2009.
