The ASSE student chapter officers and Dr. Jones recently spoke at the ASSE Southwest professional chapter monthly meeting held at the Boy Scouts of America national headquarters building in Irving, Texas.  The trio spoke on current topics at the university as they delivered their annual State of the Student Chapter address to the Society members.  The Southwest Chapter, along with ASSE national past-president Skipper Kendrick, and the Fort Worth ASSE professional chapter have been long-time supporters of the Southeastern ASSE student chapter.  The Southwest Chapter is also the sponsoring chapter of the Southeastern OSH program.  The student chapter has been experiencing record attendance with over 50 student members attending meetings where they are addressed by safety professionals from transportation, insurance, manufacturing, construction, non-profits, and the oil and gas fields to name just a few.  Dr. Nick Nichols is the ASSE student chapter faculty sponsor.
