Freshman Convocation set for Saturday; Fall classes begin Aug. 18

DURANT, Okla. – The start of the fall semester is near at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

Fall classes begin on Monday, Aug. 18.

Prior to that, Freshman Convocation will be held on Saturday, Aug. 16, at 4:30 p.m. in Montgomery Auditorium. At that time, new Southeastern president Sean Burrage

will address new students and their parents. A cookout will follow on the front lawn of campus.

Earlier this week, a two-day Faculty Symposium was held on campus. This professional development opportunity allowed faculty members to advance their knowledge and experience through the exchange of ideas and approaches to teaching, scholarship, and service.

On Monday of this week, orientation for new faculty members was held.
