On February 27th the 2010 NAEIE participants attended a workshop on traditional food and dress of the Choctaw people. All 12 participants experienced a hands-on learning workshop as they made traditional Choctaw foods such as fried pork and banaha. Curtis Billy and Teresa Billy instructed the students as they began preparing food. In addition, the participants were given a lesson on traditional dresses and shirts of the Choctaw people.
