Jonathan Gill was recently appointed to the position of Adjunct Professor of Trombone/Euphonium at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. In addition to teaching at Southeastern, he maintains an active studio of over 60 students in the Southlake-Carroll and Lewisville ISDs. For the last 5 years, his students have consistently been placed at the top of their all-region band auditions and have received superior ratings at solo and ensemble festivals. As an active freelancer in the DFW area, Mr. Gill performs regularly with groups such as the Dallas Wind Symphony, Lone Star Wind Orchestra, San Angelo Symphony, Shreveport Symphony, Dallas Pops Orchestra, and Irving Lyric Stage Pit Orchestra. Mr. Gill holds degrees from the University of Georgia (B.M.E.) and the University of South Florida (M.M.). He is currently writing his dissertation as a final step in completing his D.M.A. in Trombone Performance from the University of North Texas.
