Coloring Contest Winners Told

Coloring Contest Award PosterDr. Bruce King’s office announced the winners in a Thanksgiving coloring contest aimed at getting students and their children involved in more campus activities. “We hope to do more activities like this with our students in the future,” said King’s office assistant Sherry Holeman.

First place winner was Rayden Hyatt.  She is 8 years old and in the 2nd grade at Valliant Elementary School.  She receives a gift certificate for a free child’s haircut compliments of G-Clipz hair salon at the Jumper Plaza Shopping Center in Idabel, OK.  She also receives a free personal pan pizza compliments of Idabel Pizza Hut and a 1st place certificate from SE-MCC.  She is the daughter of Catherine Hyatt which is an Eastern student majoring in Psychology/Sociology.

Second place winner was Jenae Shoals.  She is 9 years old in the 4th grade at Haworth Elementary. Jenea receives a free personal pan pizza compliments of Pizza Hut in Idabel, OK and a 2nd place winner certificate from SE-MCC.  She is the daughter of Eastern student, Jerrica Dewberry.  Jerrica is majoring as a Medical Lab Tech.

Third place winner was Aaron Bess.  He is 12 years old and is in the 6th grade at Valliant Middle School.  He receives a free personal pan pizza compliments of Pizza Hut in Idabel, OK and a 3rd place winner certificate from SE-MCC.  He is the son of Eastern student, Catherine Hyatt majoring in Psychology/Sociology.

The winners can pick up their awards in Dr. King’s office.

Dr. King’s office expressed a gratitude to all the children that participated and sponsors, Gladene Lecrone, owner of G-Clipz Hair Salon in Idabel, and Idabel Pizza Hut manager, Tori Murphy. “We would also like to thank our work study student, Tassia Fisher for organizing our contest,” Holeman said.  Tassia is a Southeastern student majoring in Marketing at SE-MCC.
