Microbiology Students Attend Oklahoma Academy of Science Meeting

Several students in Dr. Mac’s Microbiology class attended the 102nd annual meeting of the Oklahoma Academy of Science at Cameron University, Lawton, Oklahoma, November 8, 2014. Dr. Mac and former EOSC student, William Palmer, who now attends OU, presented oral papers on their research. William’s title was: “First report of Sarcocystis sp. (Apicomplexa: Sarcocystidae) from Oklahoma snakes (Ophidia: Colubridae)”, and Dr. Mac’s title was “Coleoptera (Histeridae and Scarabaeidae) from Baird’s pocket gopher (Geomys breviceps) burrows from southeastern Oklahoma”.
