   How do I Ask a Librarian?

Please use the box below to chat with the SE Reference Librarians

For online help from SE librarians during regular weekday library hours. Librarians at the SE Library are usually available 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday. If you don’t get an answer within a few minutes please phone or come to the libary as we may be helping another student,  or teaching a class.

Call the Library at 580-745-2932 during the following hours:

•          7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday

•          7:30 a.m. to 5:30p.m. Friday

•          Reference Librarians are not on duty during weekend hours

                                                                                                                                                             

 Skype (By appointment only):

To use our Skype Reference Interview option: 

1. email, kplunkett@se.edu or dmiles@se.edu,  the dates and times you are available, along with your Skype contact name. 2. We will select a date from the choices you sent and reply with the Skype Reference Appointment date and time.      3. On that appointment date and time you will contact us via our Skype username: se.reference.librarians.

Note: You will need a microphone and speakers. We only use the audio and screen sharing options, which make multi-stepped explanations very easy. Skype is an excellent way for Distance Education Students, or anyone off campus, to get the same one-on-one reference help we offer our on-campus students.

For weekends or times the SE library is closed, the Internet Public Library’s (ipl2) question service may be able to help. Ipl2 is staffed by trained professional librarian volunteers and graduate students in library science programs. The volunteers and students come from libraries and schools around the United States, Canada, and even other parts of the world.  http://www.ipl.org/div/askus/index.html
