Loan Policies for Staff

CIRCULATING ITEMS *

BOOKS:

General Collection: 21 days (fall and spring); 14 days (summer). This includes all books from floors 2, 2A and 3 (Standard Shelving Location in the Catalog), Juvenile and Native American Books with the exception of reference.

Curriculum Collection: 21 days (fall and spring); 14 days (summer). Shelved on the northwest side of the Basement.

COMPUTER SOFTWARE: Loan periods are listed on each item.

GOVERNMENT DOCUMENTS: U.S. Depository and Oklahoma Documents: 14 days unless Reference material. Shelved on the southeast side of 2A.

MICROFICHE: ERIC Microfiche: 7 days. Shelved on the 1st floor, north of the computer lab.

RESERVE BOOKS: 2 hours. Books shelved in all areas marked Reserves.

SOUND RECORDINGS: 7 days. Shelved in the circulating collection of the library.

VIDEOS/DVDS: 7 days.  Shelved on the southwest end of the 1st floor near the computer lab and juvenile materials.

NON-CIRCULATING ITEMS

ARCHIVES: All items in Archives are non-circulating (floor: 2A, room: 202).

FOUNDATION CENTER: Books shelved on the northeast end of the 3rd floor.

MAPS:Filed in the map case on 2A (next to the OK Docs vertical file cabinet).

MICROFORMS: All microforms (microfiche and microfilm) are non-circulating EXCEPT: ERIC Microfiche (see above).

PERIODICALS: All magazines and journals shelved on the 1st floor Current Periodicals Section and in the Basement, as well as the Periodical Indices

REFERENCE:

Books shelved in the Reference Section (1st floor near the Reference Desk)

Books shelved in the Native American Reference Section (southeast end of 1st floor)

Books shelved in the Juvenile Reference Section (southwest end of the 1st floor)

SE MASTERS THESES: Shelved in Archives.

SOUND RECORDINGS:Music Library: Shelved on the 3rd floor of the library.

STORAGE: All items shelved in the Storage location of the Basement.
