Tenure-Track Assistant Professor or Non-Tenure-Track Instructor position in Psychology at the McCurtain County Campus

The Department of Behavioral Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor OR non-tenure-track instructor position in Psychology or Counseling Psychology.  The successful candidate will have one of the following (in ranked order of preference):

 

  1.  Doctorate in Psychology or Counseling Psychology or a closely related field, or
  2.  Masters Degree in Psychology or closely related field and higher education teaching experience.

 

The Instructor in Psychology will teach four courses per semester as assigned by the Chair of the McCurtain County Campus and the Department of Behavioral Sciences. The instructor will report to Dr. Bruce King, Dean, of the McCurtain County Campus in Idabel, Oklahoma and, Dr. Ed Mauzey, in Durant, Oklahoma, the main SOSU campus, weekly and meet all academic requirements for Psychology regular full-time faculty as applicable. The Instructor will maintain a minimum of 10 regular office hours per week, five days a week (Monday – Friday). The instructor will also be asked to serve on limited number of Psychology Program committees in the Department of Behavioral Sciences. As per department policy, the instructor will be located in Idabel, Oklahoma at the McCurtain County Campus.

 

Employment is contingent upon the results of a national criminal and sex offender background check.  Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position begins August 1, 2013, and may require off-campus assignments as well as varied time and delivery methods.
