Tenure-Track Assistant Professor or Non-Tenure-Track Instructor position in Occupational Safety & Health

The Department of Occupational Safety and Health invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor OR non-tenure-track instructor position in Occupational Safety & Health. The successful candidate will have one of the following (in ranked order of preference):

  1. A Doctorate in Occupational Safety or a related Occupational Safety field, or
  2. An MS or MA graduate in Occupational Safety or a related Occupational Safety field with ABD status on an approved doctorate, or
  3. An MS or MA graduate in Occupational Safety or a closely related Occupational Safety field and considerable (5+ years) experience in occupational safety or
  4. An MS or MA degree in a closely related occupational safety and health field with considerable (5+ years) experience in occupational safety.

Certification, such as CSP is highly desirable. The ideal candidate would also have experience in statistics, industry and/or higher education. Evidence of research, peer reviewed publications and presentations is also highly desirable.

Founded in 1909, Southeastern Oklahoma State University enrolls approximately 4,200 students in 44 undergraduate and 7 graduate degree programs. The campus is located in Durant, Oklahoma, north of Dallas, Texas and southeast of Oklahoma City. The Department of Occupational Safety and Health is recognized for its quality graduates and is one of the fastest growing departments in the university.
