The Southeastern Honors Program has been built on the foundation created by the Parsons Scholars Program which has a long and honorable tradition that goes back to 1978, when David L. Parsons, a 1928 Southeastern alumnus, endowed the Parsons Scholars scholarship.
Today, the Southeastern Honors Program is committed to the ongoing growth and development of a culturally diverse and academically talented group of honors students. With a focus on educational excellence as well as cultural and technological literacy, the program challenges high-caliber students with special talents and outstanding academic abilities in developing local and global awareness and achieving their full potential.
Students selected for the program will receive an academic scholarship to attend Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
