How do I log in to Bb?
Check CampusConnect for your SE Username.  While the typical Username for SE students follows the format listed below, there are some exceptions.  Be sure to omit hyphens and apostrophes.

Username:
[first initial][last name][last two digits of student ID]
Example:  arogers33

Password:
8-digit Birthdate [MMDDYYYY] (Unless you have already changed it).
Example:  04121980

Please change your password the first time you log in to Blackboard.  For privacy concerns, do not share your password with others!

When can I access my Bb classes for upcoming semesters?
Online and blended classes should be available by 8 a.m., on the first day of the semester. Other classes using Bb will be available at the discretion of the instructor.   However, you will not be able to log in until (1) students are added to their respective classes, which is typically a few days prior to the first day of classes and (2) your instructor makes the course available.  Please contact your instructor if you have questions regarding class availability.  If you are not able to log in or you do not see your Bb course during the first week of classes, click the Bb Technical Support form link located on the right side of this page.  Once you have successfully gained access to your class(es), check for directions posted by your instructor regarding getting started in your class.

After I log in, how do I get inside my course?
Once you are logged in, you will be on the My SE page, where courses are listed, provided the instructor has turned it on.  Look on the right side of the page, in the My Course module box.  Then, click on the name of the course to access it.  Follow the same procedure for accessing each course.  After accessing a course, you will see the Course Menu on the left side of the page.  Use the Course Menu links to navigate the course, locating announcements, course materials, assignments, etc., provided by your instructor.

I see a full-screen page in my course, but I do not see the Course Menu links on the left side of the page.
Your page has probably been expanded and is covering up the Course Menu.  Look on the left side of the screen for a tab with a “greater than” sign (>).  Click on it (>) to collapse the page, making the Course Menu visible.   Notice that the sign is now a ”less than” sign (<).  Click on it to expand the page, which will hide the Course Menu.

There are classes from previous semesters or current-semester classes listed in which I am not enrolled.   How can I get rid of them?
You can hide these courses from the entry page by clicking on the “gear” icon, located in the upper-right corner of the My SE page.  Uncheck the boxes to the right of each of the courses in which you want to hide from the entry page, then click Submit.  Note:  Please contact the instructor for current-semester classes in which you are not enrolled but are listed on the My SE page.  Request to be removed from those classes.
