 Video Previews of New Bb Features for Fall 15

  • Video Everywhere – With a webcam and a free YouTube account, faculty and students can seamlessly record, embed, and reuse videos in Bb, even in Announcements!
  • Discussion Board – A new Forum setting for instructors requires students to first post a comment before they can view classmates’ postings.
  • Global Navigation – A universal menu to quickly access your courses, calendar, announcements, etc.
  • New Test Options, called Availability Exceptions, allows you to select specific students from your class list who have the accommodation of extra time on tests or for students who need to take an exam at a different time from the regularly scheduled exam, and set their options individually
  • Date Management – Quickly view and modify course dates from one location
  • Inline Assignment Grading – Open, view, edit, and annotate directly on the document within the Grade Center!  The marked-up document is saved as a PDF.
  • Redesigned Calendar – Due dates are automatically added to course calendars.  Due dates changed on the calendar are automatically updated in the respective course.
  • Retention Center Automatically triggers alerts regarding student performance and engagement risk factors with no set up required.

YouTube Blackboard Channel – Browse the Blackboard YouTube channel for other videos, including the “Quick Hit” videos.

You Tube You can find additional Blackboard Learn 9.1 How To resources on YouTube.  Just enter “Blackboard 9.1 + [topic of interest]” in the search box.  For example, entering Blackboard 9.1 + weighted grades will result in a list of videos posted by various Bb 9.1 users explaining and demonstrating this feature.
